This 4-week (8-session) class will teach you basic techniques to achieve different styles of watercolor. You will be guided through demonstrations by your instructor, including: understanding your materials, color mixing, brush strokes, watercolor techniques (Wet-on-Dry, Wet-on-Wet , Lifting, Salt, Rubbing Alcohol, Spray & Paint, Paint & Spray)…and more. In addition to learning essential skills, each week will include painting topical spring subjects. Goal: For students to leave this course having the knowledge of watercolor tools, techniques, and practices. We hope students feel confident in their newly learned skill set that they may continue to practice and learn from home or continue their education and take the next level up/specific watercolor topic course in the future at Center of The Arts. Whether you are a beginner with an interest in watercolors, a skilled artist looking to learn a new medium, or you have ideas you want to bring to life, this class is for you! Requirements: 16 years and up Maximum 15 students per class.
Registration Fees:$199, includes the following supplies (for students to keep): Watercolor Palate, Tray, Paper, and Brushes.
