American Sign Language Camp - High School
9 am- 12 pm Monday, July 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17
Move beyond ‘Thank You’ and ‘I love you’ – learn the foundations of ASL and beginning conversational phrases. This camp is designed for high school students interested in learning what ASL is and how it is used in the world around them. Through classroom teaching, games and lots of interaction, students will gain an understanding of Deaf Culture and will learn the foundations of ASL: the 5 parameters of a sign, the manual alphabet and the role of fingerspelling, along with when and how to use it. Students will also gain proper ASL greetings and attention getting strategies. This will be an interactive, fun, and exciting week!
